BTS, 2020 Gaon Chart has the #1 Album of the First Half of the Year...Accumulated sales have surpassed 4.26 million copies




Group BTS topped the Gaon Chart's first-half album chart. 

On the Gaon Chart, a Korean official music chart, released on the 10th, BTS ranked first in cumulative album sales with its fourth full-length album "MAP OF THE SOUL: 7."

The album sold a total of 4,265,617 copies in the first six months of its release on Feb. 21. On the first day of its release, it sold more than 2.65 million copies, and sold 4.11 million copies in nine days, breaking the record for the most sales by a Korean singer. It is also the first time since Gaon Chart was certified as a Quadruple Million.

"MAP OF THE SOUL: PERSONA," released by BTS in April last year, ranked 30th on the corresponding chart. In addition, a total of 14 albums were ranked in the top 100, including their debut album "2 COOL 4 SKOOL," including 43rd in LOVE YOURSELF  44th in "Her" and 45th in "Answer." 

"MAP OF THE SOUL: 7," which is making a new history in the music industry, is an album that looks back on the seven years since BTS's debut and contains a total of 19 songs, including 14 new songs. BTS filled in their stories of accepting 'I want to show you' and 'I want to avoid' and finally 'I want to be myself'

BTS is currently communicating with fans around the world by unveiling the process and daily life of working on the new album through YouTube's official channel "BANGTANTV."
