The music video for "IDOL" by the group BTS has surpassed 700 million views.

The number of YouTube views for "IDOL," the title track of BTS's repackaged album LOVE YOURSELF BTS "Answer," which was released in August 2018, exceeded 700 million around 11:45 a.m. on July 16.

This marks the fourth time that BTS has 700 million views of the music video, following "DNA," "Boy With Luv (Feat. Halsey)" and "FAKE LOVE."

BTS's music video for "IDOL" brings a festive mood from beginning to end of the video against the backdrop of a colorful set of tropical savanna grasslands, lion play, Euro-Asian architecture and traditional Korean styles. In addition to the performance of Korean samulnori and mask dance, the graphic effect of subculture attracts attention with its sensuous and colorful visuals.

Shortly after its release, "IDOL" topped iTunes' "Top Song" charts in 66 countries and regions, including the United States, Canada and Britain. It also made headlines by ranking 11th on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and 21st on the British Official Singles Chart.

BTS also proved its worldwide popularity by winning the "Music Video of 2018" award at the 2018 E! People's Choice Awards, an award ceremony for American music, movies and TV held in November 2018 with the music video of "IDOL."

BTS has 1 billion views of DNA, including 'IDOL', 800 million views of 'Boy With Luv (Feat. Halsey), 700 million views of 'FAKE LOVE', 600 million views of 'FIRE', 'MIC Drop' remix 'Blood, Sweat & Tears' and 500 million views of 'Save me’, 'ON', 'IDOL (Feat. Nicki Minaj)' and 'Black Swan' have a total of 25 billion views.
