BTS Jimin Fans Donation of Rice for Children with Covid-19



Fans of Jimin of the group BTS (BTS) donated rice for children in need due to the new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) 

Jimin's Global Fans Association, which leads the nation's first Star Non Project, donated rice for children suffering from "Corona 19" through the "Jimin Rice Paddy" project. 

On the 6th, BTS Jimin's fan base "JIMIN FANS UNION" donated 709 kilograms of rice under the name of BTS “Jimin" through a council of children's regional centers in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, for children affected by the spread of COVID-19 in Gyeonggi Province, including Goyang, Gyeonggi Province.

The donation event was conducted with 709 1kg of Chamdream rice supported by Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi AgroFood Distribution Promotion Agency to spread chamdream rice through shared farming ahead of the "Jimin rice paddy" harvest in October this year.

The nation's first star rice paddy project "Jimin Rice Paddy" was launched in April to raise funds with the voluntary participation of fans and to grow a new breed of chamdream rice developed by the Gyeonggi-do Agricultural Research and Extension Services to donate the harvested crops to a place where they are needed in BTS Jimin's name.

JIMIN FANS UNION, along with S.COOP, a shared agricultural company designated by Gyeonggi-do Province and Gyeonggi-do Agricultural and Food Distribution Agency, planned the Jimin Rice Field" project as part of its seed independence project and recruited a total of 709 branches in April, and is currently growing the Chamdream rice by creating the Jimin Rice Paddy" in a clean area in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi-do." At the site of the project, a "Jimin rice paddy" sign will be set up and a list of participants will be posted using QR codes.

The media said, "Jimin, BTS's lead vocalist and main dancer, received a lot of support for his alma mater graduates in his hometown of Busan and his good deeds of 100 million donations from the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, which had a good influence on the world, which led Jimin fans to participate in blood donation, fundraising, animal adoption, food supply, charity and donation activities."

Recently, foreign fan base JIMINDATA has donated to five organizations, each of which is the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association, Italy's Red Cross, Spain's Red Cross, the U.S. Red Cross, and Doctors Without Borders, in order to overcome the "COVID-19 " crisis, and many of them have continued their donation activities.
