Jungkook's self-composed song "Your Eyes Tell," a member of the group BTS (BTS), showed his power to enter the top of Japan's major music charts.

BTS "Your Eyes Tell," a song from the fourth full-length Japanese album "MAP OF THE SOUL:7 ~THE JOURNEY," and Jungkook's self-composed song "Your Eyes Tell," entered No. 1 on the large download chart "Mu-mo," one of Japan's major digital platforms, early in the morning of the 15th.

It also entered the top 100 line music charts of "LINE MUSIC," Japan's largest music site, and became the No. 1 spot on the real-time charts, realizing the popularity of local hot music.


















"Your Eyes Tell," co-written and composed by Jungkook, Gustav Mared, UTA and JUN, was selected as the OST for the Japanese film "Your Eyes Are Ask" directed by Takahiro Mickey, a remake of the Korean film "Only You" (directed by Song Il-gon).

According to the Japanese media "Nickan Sports," the film producer of "Your Eyes Are Ask" was looking for a love-themed ballad that would symbolize the film, and was associated with BTS, who was scheduled to produce a Japanese album. 

Later, BTS sent several demo tapes, the media explained. Just before the recording, however, Jung-kook's self-composed song "Your Eyes Tell" was finally chosen as the film's OST. 

The lyrics then included keywords for the movie, and the sparkling melodies and comfortable songs fit well with the main film, which Mickey used as an insert song in the play as well as the end of the film, according to the media. 

Another Japanese media outlet, Sports Nippon, also reported that it is extremely unusual for an overseas artist to compose an original song and participate in a Japanese film OST.

Meanwhile, Japan's fourth full-length album "MAP OF THE SOUL:7~THE JOURNEY~" was released in the early morning of the 15th, and the song "Your Eyes Tell" also entered No. 1 on the world wide and European iTunes song charts of the global music site iTunes.
