BTS’s 4th full-length Japanese album, #1 on Oricon Weekly chart, best selling Japanese album this year

The group BTS is continuing to set new records for its full-length Japanese album.

According to the latest chart released by Japan's Oricon Chart, BTS's fourth full-length Japanese album "MAP OF THE SOUL: 7 ~ THE JOURNEY ~," released on the 15th, topped the weekly album chart (7/13/7/19) with sales of 564,298 copies.

It is not only the first-week sales of all the albums released in Japan this year, but also the highest-ever first-week sales of overseas male artist albums.

In addition, 'MAP OF THE SOUL: 7 ~ THE JOURNEY ~' has recorded the highest cumulative sales of all albums released in Japan this year, showing off their unique album power.

BTS topped the Oricon weekly album chart for the first time following its second full-length Japanese album "YOUTH," 2017 LOVE YOURSELF BTS Her," 2018 Japanese full-length album "FACE YOURSELF" and 2018 LOVE YOURSELF BTS "Answer," released in February, and "MAP OF THE SOUL: 7."

In addition, 'MAP OF THE SOUL: 7 ~ THE JOURNEY ~' has also swept the weekly digital album chart, and the weekly combined album chart (a total of 579,861 points), which combines actual album sales, digital downloads, and streaming numbers.

Meanwhile, the album topped the Oricon Daily Album Chart on July 20 with sales of 10,429 copies, marking the seven consecutive day of keeping the top spot on the daily album chart.
