Big Hit Entertainment (hereinafter Big Hit) has unveiled the results and plans of its affiliated labels and various business strategies from its sales in the first half of the year.


Big Hit posted an hour-long video of "Big Hit Company Briefing with Community in the Second Half of 2020" on its official YouTube channel on the 13th afternoon.


Bang Si-hyuk, chairman of Big Hit, who opened the briefing session, said, "In the first half of 2020, not only Korea but also the whole world had a hard time. Big Hit also faced an unexpected crisis. It wasn't particularly easy this time. Every moment was a crisis and a crisis," he said, referring to BTS's world tour.


"The plan for the world tour, starting in Seoul in April, has been completely revised, with 16 tours to the U.S., seven tours to Europe and Asia to wrap up the year beautifully," he said. "The artists and the company felt the same way as the fans felt sorry for us," he said. "So I tried to give comfort and hope through music and artists." Such efforts resulted in 294 billion won in consolidated sales and 49.7 billion won in operating profit in the first half of this year.
