BTS 'Idol' MV surpasses 900M views — 6th MV in their career to do so






According to Big Hit Music on the 26th, YouTube MV for the song "Idol" of BTS's repackaged album "Love Yourself Answer" released in August 2018, exceeded 900M. This is the sixth MV with over 900 million views. 

"Idol" ranked 11th on the U.S. Billboard's main single chart "Hot 100" shortly after its release. The song reached 21st on the UK Official Singles Chart Top 100. In addition, BTS won the Music Video of the Year award at the 2018 E! People's Choice Awards, an American music, film and TV awards ceremony held in November 2018. 

The "Idol" music video features an exciting festive atmosphere against a backdrop of tropical savanna grassland, Euro-Asian architecture, and a colorful set borrowed from Korean traditional styles. In particular, the performance of Korean mask dance combined with the graphic effects of subculture. 

Meanwhile, BTS has a total of 31B views including "Idol," which exceeded 900 million views this time. It includes 1.2B views of DNA and 1B views of BWL
